A few more things

Here are a few delights from St. Vincent de Paul in Charleville which has a €1 rail and is a fine, big shop that has a great selection of goodies.  It is especially good for scarves, books and jackets and is one of my favourites.

I tried these on when they first came out but couldn't justify the price.  In the intervening years, there are people I've forgotten, but not these shoes.  And then this pair came in, my size and the love affair was rekindled.

I love this authentic Norwegian cardigan inordinately - and then I go and take blurred shots of it

my favourite find so far.  I love this Aran poncho.  You have to careful how you wear it though or you can end up looking like an extra in Lord of the Rings

Aer Lingus are bad for your style

I should have posted this at the beginning of July.  This is a lovely silver Warehouse dress that I meant to wear for the Bjork concert in Manchester. 

Thanks to a delay of 8 hours on the Aer Lingus flight from Shannon to Manchester, I only made the concert by the skin of my teeth and the driving skills of my good friend Del and this fine creation remained folded in my luggage.  This was my 4th delay in 4 flights with Aer Lingus and I am never flying with them again.  (Exactly a week later, the same flight skidded off the runway at Shannon airport).  Thanks Aer Lingus.

And so this dress remains unworn but I know it'll see plenty of action in winter with tights and boots.

THE ONES THAT GOT AWAY

Sometimes alas the finances or lifestyle don't permit me to give good homes to everything I love.  These were today's escapees:-

Original K Clark's shoes, possibly in my size (I didn't try them on for fear that I would buy them) but the heel height means I'll probably never wear them and a lovely old blanket ...

THE UNEXPECTED
